A Fireplace Mantel That Makes An Elegant Statement
Our new wood fireplace mantel features a streamlined silhouette that makes for the perfect centerpiece. We designed it for homeowners who want a modern, elegant accent mantel that’s also built to last. That’s why we offer it in your choice of twenty hardwood species, from classic American wood types like hickory to exotic options such as Wenge. Choose from seven finish options: clear satin, or six understated, tasteful colors.
This fireplace mantel boasts a weight rating of up to 150lbs so you can display your décor and keepsakes with confidence. It’s built with traditional joinery, so it’s sturdy. It also comes with a French cleat, a molding with a 30–45 degree slope that matches the slope on the inside of the mantel. The French cleat attaches to the wall and creates a secure connection with the studs. This feature makes installing the mantel a breeze, since a French cleat does not require any fine maneuvering.
We highly recommend adding a clear finish to your mantel to protect it and make sure that it is eligible to be covered by our warranty.
All wood species available for the mantel are hardwood varieties, which means they’re durable and strong. Each species of wood we offer boasts its own unique characteristics, from color to grain pattern to texture. Finishing your mantel with a clear finish does more than protect it from damage, it enhances the beauty of the wood and brings out the striking color and detail of the grain. If you plan to store heavy items on your mantel, we advise choosing the 8" depth option. This is because the closer the load is to the wall, the more robust the mantel will be. We also recommend installing the mantel using both epoxy glue and screws for the strongest mantel possible. See our warranty for more details.
