DETERMINE KIT LENGTH
Single Door: Multiply your single barn door width by two for optimum track length. For a 3ft barn door, you would typically need a 6ft barn door hardware rail kit.
Double Doors: For biparting doors, choose kit for total track length needed, then change "Quantity of doors on track" to 2 or 3 for the additional door hardware needed.
(Track lengths are nominal to accommodate the overlap needed for the bottom guide).
Lag bolts are included and are used to attach the barn door hardware track to the wall.
CUSTOM DOOR AND TRACK SIZES
If your door requires a track length that falls between sizes, simply round up to the next available size and pair with an adjustable end stop. This technique will enable you to customize the endpoint of the track.Call us for custom track lengths and applications - 800.694.5977

Classic Barn Door Hardware Installed Outside
Posted by Unknown on 11th Oct 2015
We installed the Classic system in powder coated oil rubbed bronze to the outside wall of an ocean facing barn. The harware looks to be of excellent quality and finish. Between the time of installation and completion of the box system that encloses the top, front, and sides however, the black lag bolts fastening the track to the wall have begun to rust. The only choice in bolt finish was black or stainless steel. We went with black as it would closely blend in with the finish on the rest of the system. We'll have to paint out the bolt heads to prevent further deterioration. Generally very satisfied.

I'm extremely pleased with the quality and finish of the classic barn door hardware. We installed five different doors in our latest project. We couldn't be happier with the fit and finish and ease of installation.

This hardware is very industrial and strong while maintaining that classic warm feel that can only be achieved with a quality product. The lag bolts included in the kit are anything BUT whimpy! You will not find a better product on the market.

I was very pleased with the quality and safety of the hardware. It had a nice powder coat on it and the mechanism is very smooth. I can move the door with one finger.

I have been a finish carpenter for over 20 years. I have never installed this type of hardware before. I have to say it was very easy to install. I highly recommend this product.

Flat Track Hardware
Flat Track Sizes:
"How do I choose a track size?"
Simply double the size of your door(s) to determine the proper track length. Example: a 36" wide door will need a 6' track. Example: (2) 36" wide doors will require 12' of track.
"Tell me more… "
Choose from a variety of powder coated finishes or raw steel. Our powder coated finishes consist of a durable baked-on finish. All powder coated finishes have a matte finish.
Quantity of doors on track:
Please tell us how many doors you wish to hang on this hardware track.
The Bottom Guide keeps the door steady. The T-Guide is a floor mounted guide that requires a groove in the bottom of the door. The C-Guide is a floor mounted guide that cups the bottom of the door and is also available in an adjustable option. The Wall Mounted Stay Roller is a wall mounted guide that works with doors from 1-1/2" to 2-3/4" thick. This is an ideal guide for extra thick doors and exterior applications.
"Why do I need to specify a door thickness"
We ask for door thickness so we know what size of carriage bolt to include in the hardware kit. Carriage bolts attach the hanger to the door. If your door's thickness falls between sizes, simply round up to the next available size.
End Stop Option:
"What is an end stop"
End stops keep the door from flying off the track. Standard end stops are designed to fit at the far ends of the track, secured by the lag bolts. Adjustable end stops slide along the rail and tighten down with set screws wherever you wish.
"Tell me more … "
Choose from a variety of wheel options such as a matching steel wheel or a black Hush wheel. Or upgrade to a stainless steel wheel or a stainless steel Hush wheel. Hush wheels are made of a high quality, durable polymer and make for smooth, ultra-quiet operation.
This refers to carriage bolts (which attach the hanger to the door) and lag bolts (which help secure the track to the wall). Choosing your fastener finish lets you customize the look of your hardware kit to your liking.
Box Rail Mounting:
"What does this mean?"
Please specify whether you want to mount the hardware kit to the wall or the ceiling so we can ensure you receive the proper mounting brackets.
Here you can specify whether you would like to order lag bolts through us or supply your own. A variety of finishes is available for those who wish to order lags through us. Save a trip to the hardware store with our high quality lags.
Opener Battery Backup:
The battery backup is an add-on that allows you to operate the Franklin opener despite power outages.
The Homelink Compatibility option is an add-on that allows you to operate your garage door system directly from your car.
Wireless Outdoor Keypad:
The Wireless Outdoor Keypad is an add-on allowing you to enjoy exterior access to your doors without a remote. Operates up to 10 doors.
Wiring Kit for Remodel:
Our wiring kit includes the approved, cut-to-length wiring we recommend for remodeling projects. Add to your opener order and save a trip to the hardware store.
"Tell me more₀ "
This ceiling mounted opener for out-swing doors is available in either a ¾ or 1 horsepower option. The 24V DC motor allows up to 70 door movements per hour.
