Real Sliding Hardware

Helpful Info

Q: How is my door guided at the bottom?

A: All of our kits come standard with a concealed T-Guide (click here for more info). The T-Guide requires a groove in the bottom of the door. We also have a C-Guide option that doesn't require modifying the door bottom. The C-Guide cups the bottom of the door.  C-Guides are available for doors 1" or thicker.  We also offer a Wall Mounted Stay Roller for situations when it is difficult to mount a guide to the floor.  It is ideal for outdoor settings and/or doors up to 2-3/4" thick.

Q: Why do I need a bottom guide:

A: The bottom guide helps keep the door stable.  The door should always remain in contact with the bottom guide.

Q: What are Lag Bolts? Do I need them?

A: Lag bolts are used to attach the track to the wall. We have lags that match black, oil rubbed bronze, and stainless steel finishes.

Q: How much clearance do I need above the door?

A: It depends on the hardware style you choose. Each hardware kit has different clearance requirements. Please see technical information page and download the cut sheets for clearances.

Q: Can I order a custom track length or custom hole patterns?

A: Yes! Call or email for a custom quote. Custom orders have a 2-3 week lead time and a custom order fee.

Q: Can the track attach directly to sheetrock?

A: Yes, but only if you have wood blocking built into your wall.  If you do not have wood blocking built into the wall, you will need to mount the hardware to a wood ledger board.  The reason for this is that the hardware rails come with predrilled holes that do not line up with the studs in your wall.  We recommend a wood ledger board consisting of a hardwood such as oak or fir.  We recommend the dimensions be 1" thick, 4-1/2" tall and 12" longer than the hardware rail length.

Q: How much should my door overlap the opening?

A: The suggested door-to-frame overlap is 1" per side for doors up to 54". For larger doors, use a 2"overlap per side.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes, we can ship internationally.  Please call us for a quote!

Q: Does this hardware have a Warranty?

A: Yes, our hardware comes with a 2 Year Limited Warranty. Download our warranty.

Q: How quickly will I receive my order?

A: Standard orders leave our facility within 1-3 business days plus an estimated 2-7 business days in transit.

Q: Who do you use for standard shipping?

A: We use FedEx Ground.

Q: What if my door falls between hardware kit sizes?

A: We recommend using the larger kit size with an adjustable end stop.  The longer rail will give you plenty of room for your door to operate and the adjustable end stop will give you the ability to stop the door at the correct point on the rail. We also have custom kit options available for those special projects.

"Our carpenters were so impressed with the quality and so was I. It is quiet, smooth and a joy to use. All of our guests and visitors comment on it and ask where we got such an amazing piece of hardware."
