The door is extremely solid. I had my contractor assemble and finish and I love it.

I purchased this door as a kit. My 12 year old son and I beat it up with a chain and a pizza cutter to weather it before we finished it. I love this door. Assembly was pretty simple, once I bought a mallot. Now that it's built, this is a solid door. I was happy to find no warping and love the natural beauty of the wood.
It took both paint and stain beautifully. (I stained the back side to show when I slide it closed)
